April 3rd is right around the corner, and now is the perfect time to start brainstorming ideas for your upcoming project. The Good Deeds Day team has come up with a list of 25 ideas you can choose from. There are even some you can do from home. Let’s get started!

  1. Send virtual cards to people you love
  2. Tutor youth with learning disabilities
  3. Donate your old winter clothes to charity
  4. Assist at an animal shelter
  5. Donate stuffed animals to children in hospitals
  6. Make “care kits” with shampoo, toothbrushes, combs, etc. to donate to homeless shelters
  7. Clean your local park and playground
  8. Promote a Sustainable Development Goal within your community
  9. Deliver groceries and meals to elderly neighbors
  10. Donate blankets to a homeless shelter
  11. Volunteer at a soup kitchen
  12. Paint park benches
  13. Make first aid kits for homeless shelters
  14. Organize a clothing drive
  15. Call your family and friends
  16. Donate used books to your local library
  17. Help repair or paint a local homeless shelter
  18. Perform a concert or play at a senior center
  19. Organize a community blood drive
  20. Hold a bake sale for your favorite charity
  21. Have a beach clean-up day
  22. Organize a car wash and donate the profits to charity
  23. Organize a reading hour for children at a local school or library

2. Do some research to see what projects you can do in your community: Check out your local schools, animal shelters, homeless shelters, and nursing homes for more information on volunteering opportunities and see where the best fit for you is.
