MAIN ISSUES

The Zambian Government has shown its commitment to the SDGs by being a signatory to the United Nations Agenda 2030 in September 2015. The recently launched NDP has been used as the vehicle for mainstreaming the SDGs within the country’s priorities and development goals.

Good Deeds Day Zambia is responding to some of the SDGs; Sustainable Cities and Communities by conducting public cleaning and tree planting, Quality Education for all by providing virtual learning and literacy materials to vulnerable children, No Hunger by donating food to vulnerable people in the community, Poverty by developing different poverty reduction strategies such as providing micro crediting facilities that aim at enhancing economic independence among vulnerable people in the community and Agriculture by providing food security.
