This year, millions of participants across 115 countries came together in a powerful wave of goodness and action. From individuals and families to schools, nonprofits, and businesses, people everywhere united to make a real impact through community service and compassion.
Thousands of inspiring projects took place around the world – supporting the environment, caring for the elderly, improving health and well-being, protecting animals, strengthening education, and empowering youth.
And across all this amazing activity, three powerful themes stood out: Education & Leadership, Environmental Action, and Health & Well-Being, showcasing the true heart of this global movement in action after two decades of growing impact.

Croatia –
Learning to Care: A Good Deeds Day of Empathy in Action
Costa Rica –
Celebrating Joy and Connection with Older Adults
As part of Good Deeds Day, Día de las Buenas Acciones Costa Rica dedicated a special afternoon to those who inspire us most—older adults.
Volunteers came together to create moments of joy and wellbeing, starting with an energizing exercise session, followed by music and dancing that brought smiles to every face. The day ended with warm coffee and heartfelt conversations, reminding us all of the power of connection, care, and shared stories.
Sri Lanka –
Creating Opportunities, Changing Lives
Good Deeds Day Ceylon marked a powerful milestone in its journey – creating real employment opportunities for 30–40 women for the very first time.
This initiative goes beyond short-term support, offering dignity, independence, and lasting hope. The impact extends even further, benefiting around 120 family members, including parents and children, whose lives are touched through these opportunities. By investing in women, the initiative is strengthening families and building a more resilient and empowered community for the future.
Gambia –
Empowering the Next Generation Through Volunteerism
In partnership with The Gambia Red Cross Society Banjul Branch, the initiative focuses on building skills, mentoring young leaders, and strengthening their capacity to lead. By investing in young people today, they are shaping a generation of changemakers ready to take charge of their future and their communities.
St. Lucia –
Inspiring the Next Generation to Dream and Lead
As part of Good Deeds Day, Do-Nation Foundation brought together 50 students, alongside dedicated team members from LUCELEC (St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited) and a group of passionate volunteers, for a day of inspiration and growth.
Through goal-setting activities, vision boarding, mentorship, and interactive sessions, young participants were encouraged to dream big, believe in themselves, and take steps toward their future. This initiative highlighted the power of community support in shaping confident, purpose-driven young leaders – reminding us that when we invest in youth, we invest in a brighter tomorrow.
Tanzania –
From Potential to Impact: Empowering Young Changemakers
Good Deeds Day Tanzania brought together over 700 inspiring young people, while showcasing powerful youth-led initiatives driving change across communities. What stood out most was not only the passion, but the immense potential. Throughout the event, young innovators shared ideas and solutions, highlighting their commitment to making a difference. The experience underscored an important message: true impact is not measured by titles or background, but by capability, the ability to think critically, act consistently, collaborate, and create meaningful change. By strengthening these ideas with discipline, structure, and long-term vision, this next generation can move from good intentions to real impact, from one-time activities to sustainable systems, and from volunteers to true solution builders.
Nigeria –
Uniting for Kindness: Celebrating Growth and Impact
As part of Good Deeds Day, Glorious Child Of Hope Foundation celebrated 8 years of local growth alongside 20 years of global impact of the movement. The event took place at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, in collaboration with the university’s Medicinal Plant Club, which also marked its 8th anniversary.
The celebration brought together a diverse and inclusive group students, lecturers, school club members, local partners, and community leaders, highlighting the power of collaboration in doing good. Under the theme “Let’s Unite to Do Good: Kindness Matters for You to Matter – Choose Kindness,” the event featured inspiring lectures, a medicinal plant garden tour, and heartfelt testimonials from participants about the kindness they have given and received. This gathering served as a powerful reminder that when communities come together with purpose, they can inspire lasting change and nurture a culture of kindness for generations to come.
Honduras –
Supporting Food Security in Vulnerable Communities
Día de las Buenas Acciones Honduras volunteers reached the Piedra Parada community in the municipality of Marcovia, Choluteca, delivering essential food support to families in need.
Through the distribution of large quantities of rice, the initiative directly strengthened food security for vulnerable households—demonstrating how timely, practical support can make a meaningful difference in people’s daily lives.
Portugal –
Caring for the Ocean That Cares for Us
As part of Good Deeds Day, Dia das Boas Ações – Portugal, together with Terapia Surf.ART, joined forces with Entrajuda for a meaningful beach clean-up. More than just an activity, it was an act of care – for the place where so many moments are lived: learning, falling, laughing, and trying again. Between conversations, smiles, and hands in the sand, volunteers collected waste that doesn’t belong, turning small actions into real impact for both the environment and the community.
Because surfing is not only about the waves – it’s about connection, respect, and responsibility for the spaces that welcome us. On this day, it wasn’t just about cleaning a beach, but about giving back to a place that gives so much in return.
New York, USA –
Mission Possible: Families Spreading Kindness Everywhere
On Good Deeds Day, Howie’s Heart Organization and their incredible volunteer families took on the Mission Possible service challenge – turning everyday moments into acts of kindness. Families selected their own “top-secret” missions, carrying out thoughtful gestures for neighbors, friends, their community, and even unsuspecting strangers. Along the way, kindness came full circle, with participants also experiencing heartfelt acts that left them feeling appreciated and connected.
From simple gestures to meaningful moments, each mission helped make the world a little brighter – showing the power of kindness when it starts at home and spreads outward.
Hungary –
Turning Adversity into Action and Hope
As part of Good Deeds Day, Társadalmi Hasznosságú Befektetők Egyesülete initiated a deeply moving initiative following a devastating school fire that displaced over a thousand students across different schools in the city.
On this special day, the students came together once again – filled with emotion and a renewed sense of unity. From that gathering, they set out to take part in meaningful community projects, including planting seedlings, painting benches, and contributing to activities that brought color and life back into their surroundings. What began as a moment of loss transformed into a powerful expression of resilience, solidarity, and hope, proving that even in the face of challenges, coming together to do good can rebuild not just spaces, but spirits as well.
Burkina Faso –
Promoting Safety During a Celebration of Culture
Journée de la Bonne Action Burkina Faso highlighted a meaningful collaboration between BoboBénévolat and Faire du Bien during the National Culture Week (SNC).
Recognizing that celebrating culture also means protecting lives, volunteers took to the streets to raise awareness about road safety. They engaged directly with road users, promoting essential practices such as wearing helmets, using seatbelts, and respecting speed limits. Through this initiative, the message was clear: by adopting simple, responsible habits, we can ensure that moments of celebration remain joyful and safe for everyone.
Grenada –
Protecting Our Shores: A Community Effort for a Cleaner Future
As part of the lead-up to Good Deeds Day, ECOSGU Grenada, through its Eco Club, organized a beach clean-up at Levera Beach in St. Patrick’s.
In collaboration with the Good Deeds Day initiative, volunteers came together on March 28 to protect and preserve the environment, taking meaningful action to keep the shoreline clean and safe for all. This initiative serves as a powerful reminder that even the smallest acts of care for our planet can create a lasting impact.
Colombia –
A Day of Care, Health, and Community Impact
Día de las Buenas Acciones Colombia highlighted a powerful “carousel of services” led by the Lions Club Ciénaga los Caribbean. The day began with a community clean-up and beautification of the Obrero neighborhood park, creating a welcoming space for all. Activities continued with mental health support, educational talks, and recreational moments that brought the community together.
A vision campaign provided eye exams, resulting in 71 people receiving medicated glasses, while a hunger relief initiative ensured that 80 individuals were served a warm meal. Through a combination of care, education, and direct support, this initiative made a meaningful difference—showing how coordinated community action can improve lives in many ways.
Argentina –
Civil Society in Action: Building Connections for Good
As part of Good Deeds Day, RACI Argentina hosted the third edition of the Civil Society in Action Fair – an inspiring initiative that brought the community together at Parque Rivadavia. The fair featured more than 80 stands representing civil society organizations, social enterprises, companies, and public institutions, all working ежедневно to create positive impact. More than just an event, the day became a vibrant meeting point, where hundreds of people connected, discovered new initiatives, exchanged ideas, and built relationships that extend beyond the moment.
As part of a global movement celebrated in over 100 cities, this initiative continues to strengthen visibility and collaboration within Argentina’s civil societ, creating opportunities for partnerships that might not happen otherwise, and amplifying the power of doing good together.
