Grenada

Grenadians came together for our first Good Deeds Day in 2024. Our incredible volunteers carried out several meaningful initiatives: We cleaned and painted a government daycare; we took lunch for the children and staff at the children’s home; we were happy to pass on books from our generous donors at Art & Soul Art Gallery and snacks and hygiene products from IGA supermarket. Cleaning products were delivered to the elderly home, and Trees were planted in Carriacou. Our Volunteers came together in Petite Martinique to do a beach clean-up. Everyone agreed that the experience was gratifying and enriching. We are excited to continue inspiring others to join the Good Deeds Day movement and make every day Good Deeds Day!

MAIN ISSUES

In 2024, Hurricane Beryl caused Grenada a water crisis, Food insecurity, and significant damages. The hurricane caused extensive agricultural damage, affecting much of the Island’s crops. Petite Martinique suffered the bulk of the damage to its infrastructure. The destruction of food sources has placed pressure on the local economy.
